Helix Geospace, a UK-based company, specialises in the design and production of antenna solutions using their proprietary Dielectrix technology. These antennas are specifically developed for Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) as well as satellite communications to support BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations. Helix offers various versions of their antennas to support GPS and Galileo GNSS constellations, as well as the Iridium Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications constellation.
Our antennas are innovative multifrequency resonant devices with precise frequency discrimination. They employ multiple helical conductor filaments embedded in a high dielectric constant ceramic core. This design selectively filters signals, ensuring the integrity of data received by the receiver. As a result, the system can compute positional accuracy up
to 10cm while maintaining resilience against environmental factors and deliberate disruptions.
Our helical antenna's resonance properties allow it to ignore problematic reflected signals commonly found in densely populated areas known as "urban canyons." Furthermore, the on-frequency accuracy of the antennas makes them highly resistant to interference caused by nearby signals or intentional jamming attempts. Despite their robust functionality, Helix antennas are compact and lightweight, suitable for drone applications and designed to seamlessly integrate with vehicles without compromising aesthetics.
We are currently developing electronics-based anti-jamming and anti-spoofing systems. These cutting-edge solutions provide optimal defence against malicious attempts to undermine satellite navigation and communications.
